MX 9.5.1: Label selector v4.5.6 does not seem to display background colors

I upgraded label selector (https://marketplace.mendix.com/link/component/292) from v4.5.5 to v.4.5.6 in MX 9.5.1 and my background colors for labels quit working. All labels are shown with no background color. Has anybody experienced it? Has background colors changed between the versions? For now, I had to downgrade the widget back to v4.5.5.
