Is DataWigets supposed to be a styling module?

Like the title says, I have a few projects in which the DataWidgets module is green. Is this module supposed to be a styling module?

The Data Widgets module, is a packaged module that contains the following widgets: Data grid 2, Gallery, Tree node, Filtering and Sorting widgets.

The data widget module is not intended to serve as a styling module. You do have a number of components here that are intended to display data in a certain way and therefore have their own styling. It is a new module from Mendix with a number of nice components to display your data.

There is actually no such thing as a styling module, the styling is usually done at the back of the Mendix application then you can use the defined CSS classes in Mendix Studio Pro. See a howto here: https://docs.mendix.com/howto/front-end/customize-styling-new

Hi Soraya,

it isn’t only a styling module, it also contains widgets and building blocks.

As stated in the documentation of this module:

“The Data Widgets module, is a packaged module that contains the following widgets: Data grid 2, Gallery, Tree node, Filtering and Sorting widgets.
This module also includes all the styling, design properties and building blocks related to these widgets.”
