Dropdown widget not showing selected values

Hi there, my dropdown widget is not showing the selected values, have a look at these screen shots please, any help will be appreciated. thank you

Have you configured the correct read rights?

Did you use drop-down menu's or reference selectors? You need reference selector to store data and you can use drop-down's to retrieve data (but not to store)
