Gallery widget limited - not compatable with dynamic images

Hi all, From what I’ve gathered the Gallery widget is not compatable with dynamic image widget, nor with badges, switch buttons, or many other of the widgets compatable with standard listview. And many of the older filtering components are now deprecated, while the new Data Widgets solution doesn’t work with listview. If anyone has found a workaround for using valuable widgets like dynamic image and switch in gallery, I’d love to learn how. I love the ease of use of Data Widgets, but am puzzled why these standard widgets haven’t been included.
