Bootstrap multiselect error: Association does not lead to entity

I'm trying to make a multiple select dropdown using bootstrap multiselect widget. It wouldn't support non-persistent entity(NPE) at first so I created a persistent and pass data from NPE to return PE. However, it shows that Association does not lead to entity.
