Cache invalidation for Pluggable Widgets in deployed applications

Working on an application with several pluggable widgets. Upon deployment of new changes to these widgets, end users need to clear their browser cache to receive the updated widget functionality. Is there a way to automatically invalidate the end user's cached (and outdated) version of the widget?
