Watching vs notifications in Feedback widget analysis

Hi, In the DevPortal I can see stats about feedback I have received via the feedback widget. Using the settings icon at the top right, I can indicate whether I'd like to receive notifications or not. Yet if I select an individual feedback item, I have the option to watch or not watch an item. I can't find any documentation on this. Could somebody please let me know what this option is for and how it differs from notifications? Thank you

Not much that is said there however, in most cases the watch function will provide updates on changes on an item, so I expect this to be the same case with feedback items you are watching.

Thanks Erwin. I did see this article, but it's not very specific. I guess it just adds notifications for the individual item. Thank you.
