I installed this plugin but I was unable to see the documents previewed. Instead the document is being downloaded to my local and the preview box appears empty. In the documentation it says that the browser needs to have documents in forms enabled. I wonder how can enable that in Google Chrome or if by installling a plugin to Chrome I could end up having this functionality.

If a word document is shown depends heavely on wich browser you use. A microsoft browser will show it but Google will not and to my knowledge there is no plugin to add this functionality to the Google browser.
