Why would you use a workflow to assign a task, you can simply use Xpath in the Task properties window to assign the task to a particular role or even a user.

You associate On Create microflow with your task, derive the person whom the task should be assigned to and assign the task. You can borrow assignment logic from Workflow Commons.
