Is the Intermediate Developer Certification learning path coverage enough for the exam?

Hi everyone,I’m preparing for the Mendix Intermediate Developer Certification exam, and I noticed that the following 5 learning paths are listed as covered content:Unlocking True CollaborationConstrain Your Data Using XPathCreate an App with Advanced Page BuildingBuilding an Event App Using MicroflowsExpand Your Domain Modeling SkillsAre these learning paths enough to prepare for the exam, or would you recommend studying additional learning paths/topics as well?If additional preparation is recommended, which topics are the most important to focus on?Thanks in advance!

Dear Karen,

I just took my Intermediate Developer Exam today successfully. For me personally, these learning paths were sufficient, but I am also an experienced developer in the traditional sense. If you have strong intuitions about software design, then these paths will serve you well, but you should definetely get some hands-on experience with MxStudio as well, since some questions can touch on specifics of it.

Also, I used Claude AI to prepare for the exam, but since the exam questions are not public, the question the LLM generates for you are different (and in my opinion, easier) than the real exam questions.

In conclusion, I would say that if you already have coding experience, these Learning Paths can be sufficient, otherwise I would follow the recommendation of Mendix and advise you to get some hands on experience before taking the exam.

Best,

Benedikt
