PWA & Offline

0
Hi all, I'm taking the first steps in implementing a PWA with offline capabilities (showing PDFs and playing videos). Do you have any suggestions? I'm looking for a project template I can start from, so I don't have to reinvent the wheel—especially regarding the synchronization flow between online and offline modes—and to follow best practices

Hi Luca

Yes it is very important analysis the sync concept before building the application

1.For heavy assets like PDFs and videos, you don’t sync them blindly store metadata offline and manage downloads selectively.

2.Handle conflicts gracefully last-write-wins or prompt the user.

3.Provide clear UI indicators by show “Available offline” or “Pending sync” states.(On your homepage have a batch to show whether app is in online or offline).

4.Cache critical pages (home, login, error screens).

5.Use lazy loading for videos and large files.

6.Set performance budgets to keep load times under 3 seconds.

7.Queue user actions offline and replay them when online.

This is what i usually work take care when building a PWA for client apps.

Thank you for your reply! I was hoping to use a more up-to-date project template that already includes the latest features released for PWAs out of the box.
