Hi Erik
if the application is hosted on mendix cloud then Go to Environments → your env → Details → Network tab → Path Based Access Restrictions. Add /login.html with Deny all access, then restart.
if the application is on-prem then block the path in nginx ingress. I hope this helps
Hi Erik,
If your new login page is a modeled Mendix page, I would not simply delete APPURL/login.html. The login.html file is still part of the web application's authentication flow.
Instead, configure the new page as the application's Sign-in page and make sure the appropriate home page is configured for the authenticated users.
Go to:
App → Navigation → Authentication → Sign-in page
and select your new login page there.
If you are using the OIDC SSO module, the setup is slightly different. The OIDC module is designed to work without a configured Mendix sign-in page, and the documentation recommends setting the Sign-in page to None and starting authentication through the OIDC login flow.
If your intention is specifically to replace the old HTML login page, then you can customize/replace theme/web/login.html rather than deleting the file. Mendix supports customizing login.html in the theme/web folder.
So I would recommend:
New modeled Login page
↓
App → Navigation
↓
Set as Sign-in page
↓
Set appropriate Role-based / Default home page
If the Forgot Password module is the reason for creating the new login experience, you also don't necessarily need to keep the old login page just for password reset. The current Forgot Password module provides HTML-based password reset pages and can be used without the Anonymous user role.
One important distinction: if by "new login page" you mean an HTML page replacing login.html, then the solution is different from a modeled Mendix login page. In that case, keep login.html as the entry point and replace its contents/customize it rather than removing it.
So before removing anything, I would first confirm whether your new login page is a Mendix page or a custom HTML login page. The configuration is different for those two cases.
Hope this helps.
Hi Gowtham
Thank you. I partially used yuour solution.
