It would be very useful if IP access restrictions could be managed at the enterprise level instead of per application.
In large organizations, there are often many Mendix applications used internally. The organization’s IP addresses may change from time to time, which currently requires updating the IP allowlist for each individual application behind the firewall. This can be time-consuming and error-prone.
It would be helpful if Mendix provided the ability to group applications into an enterprise-level firewall configuration (for example, a shared IP allowlist). Applications could then be added to or removed from this group, rather than having to maintain IP restrictions separately for every app.
This would significantly simplify IP access management for enterprises and reduce operational overhead.
At the same time, it should remain possible to configure additional, application-specific IP addresses on top of the enterprise-level allowlist. This would allow access for external developers, or for specific endpoints, without impacting the shared enterprise firewall configuration.
