Yes, this can happen and it does not necessarily mean that something went wrong with your request.
When you submit a “Request New Node” for a Mendix license, the request goes through an internal approval and provisioning process on the Mendix side. The confirmation message on the page usually just means the request was submitted successfully, but the actual license key email is sometimes sent after the request has been reviewed and processed, which can take a few days.
If you have not received anything yet, there are a couple of simple things you can check:
If nothing appears there and you still have not received an email after several days, the best step is to contact Mendix Support through the support portal and include the details of when you submitted the request. They can quickly check the status of the node request on their side.
So in short: waiting a few days without receiving the email is not unusual, but if it has been about a week it is reasonable to follow up with Mendix Support to confirm the request status.
