Publish button disabled

Hello,Me and a colleague were invited to a Mendix App in Sprintr, but we both are unable to click "Publish" to the Sandbox. However, other people in the App are able to click the button, even with the same roles as me.Are we missing something in App configuration/roles?Thanks in advance!

Since other users can publish successfully, I would first compare permissions between a user who can publish and one who cannot.


Some areas worth checking:

  • App Team role
  • Scrum Master permissions
  • Technical Contact assignment
  • Environment permissions
  • Whether the app/environment is associated with the expected cloud node


If all permissions appear identical between a working and non-working user, this may be worth raising with Mendix Support, as the Publish action should behave consistently for users with the same effective access.

Hi Vasco,

The Publish button should be available to users with the appropriate Developer role. If the application has a valid license, users with non-development roles may not have access to publish/deploy the application to the Sandbox.

Since other members with the same roles are able to access the Publish option, I would recommend trying the following steps first:

  1. Delete the existing project/application from your local environment.
  2. Download the application again from the Mendix App in Sprint.
  3. Open the newly downloaded project and allow the dependencies to synchronize properly.
  4. Check whether the Publish button is available after the synchronization is completed.

If the issue still persists after performing these steps, I would recommend raising a Mendix Support ticket so they can investigate the specific account/project permissions and configuration.
