SSO Insights Hub Mendix 11

Hello, I need to integrate Insights Hub Single Sign-On (SSO) into an application developed with Mendix 11. Unfortunately, the module referenced in the official documentation is not supported in this Mendix version.How should I proceed in this case? Is it still possible to use this authentication method in some way, or has it been definitively deprecated for Mendix 11? If not, what would be the recommended or optimal approach to implement authentication with Insights Hub today?Thank you in advance for your support.

Hello,

As far as I know, this authentication method is not completely deprecated in Mendix 11, but some of the older Insights Hub SSO modules are no longer compatible with newer Mendix versions.

In Mendix 11, the better and more future-proof approach would probably be to use standard OIDC/OAuth authentication instead of relying on the older SSO module directly.


You can use the Mendix OIDC SSO module and configure Insights Hub as the Identity Provider:

I’d suggest first checking whether Siemens has released an updated version of the module compatible with Mendix 11. If not, then going with the standard OIDC SSO setup would probably be the recommended approach moving forward.

That would also make the solution easier to maintain long term compared to depending on older deprecated modules.
