Studio Pro for Linux

This idea pushes for a Linux version of Mendix Studio Pro.

There was an earlier idea to have a Studio Pro for Linux and MacOS which Mendix considers implemented now that there is a MacOS version. That's not entirely the case though, and I'd even say entirely not.

• In a speech for Mendix World some years ago it was revealed that Mendix' motto would continue to be to enable makers; well, free software enables those who can't afford licenses to learn Mendix and hire themselves out as developers
• Linux is both free as in beer and free as in speech. It's also probably (way) more secure (in 2024 Microsoft admitted publicly in some federal US Committee that security could have been higher on their prio list, to say the least), resource friendly etc. It shouldn't be obligatory to either use an inferior OS or getting locked in in the OSX ecosystem
• Linux is desktop usage is growing, esp. in e.g. India ( > 15% and way more than MacOS at 3%), but even in Europe it's > 3% and probably higher among tech savvy people like Mendix developers
• There are several ominous developments around Windows. Just recent examples include ads in the os and the revealing of the Windows Recall addition where everything you do is going to be recorded in snapshots. We should not have to deal with this
• It would give Mendix another nice edge over the competition like OutSystems, which also doesn't have a Linux version (yet?)

At this point Mendix Studio Pro is literally the only thing forcing me to use Windows.
