Hi sandeep bhole,
This issue usually occurs after upgrading to Windows 11 because of changes in how the OS handles file access, background services, and antivirus scanning, which can slow down Mendix build processes. The long startup time during “Generate deployment files” and “Initializing InternalCore and Modules” often happens when Windows Defender or another antivirus scans your project files or the Java build cache. To fix this, first ensure that both Mendix Studio Pro and JDK 11 are installed in directories with full user permissions (avoid Program Files). Then, add your Mendix project folder and JDK installation folder to the Windows Defender exclusion list. You can also disable real-time protection temporarily to confirm if that’s the cause. Additionally, try clearing the deployment and userlib folders inside your project and rebuild once — this often resets corrupted cache files. Finally, make sure your Mendix and JDK paths are correct in environment variables and that your system isn’t running background indexing or OneDrive syncing. These steps usually restore normal performance on Windows 11.
Hi Sandeep Bhole,
After opening Mendix Studio Pro, disconnect the internet and then double-click your app — this helps it open faster by skipping online checks and network delays.
