Navigation List to automatically highlight current page

When using a navigation list, the active class is lost when navigating to a new page. This makes it confusing for users as they do not have any visual indicators which part of the application, they are in.
There are many cumbersome workarounds to resolve this. It would be great if the navigation list automatically highlighted the page the user is on.

Yes please! One of the many improvements the navigation list needs. I would also love to have more default styling options for one of the most used widgets (as it is used in default page generation). Next to that, subitems would be a great addition
