Please add an easy option to add column aggregates to Data grid 2 (as it is available in Data grid).
While the 'old' Data grid is lacking more and more behind, being no longer maintained (e.g. no Nanoflow actions) it is not really possible to migrate to the new grid due to lacking features.
This could be in the form of an optional footer row for Data grid 2 with extra Aggregate widgets that can be added there for this.
@Matt totally agree. Honestly its crazy how long Data Grid 2 is being developed and still its lacking so much features. Especially for the most used widget. Any Mendix app I ever build relies super heavy on datagrids. Which this innovation speed Mendix is going to be taken over by other lowcode or AI dev tools really soon imo.
It's shocking to me in the year 2025 this very basic declarative no-code functionality is missing. MX's competitor APEX (from Oracle) has had this in its interactive reports grids (which functionally walk all over DG2 in at least a dozen other ways too) since 2009 with this and other such dynamic developer-defined and also user-defined functionality.
This is being requested from many customers in Italy as well.
This is the number one reason for not switching to DataGrid 2 for us. We have over 300 grids with multiple aggregates. Plus, there is no workaround. If the columns would have a footer option at least we could work around it. Styling aggregates below the grid with a custom solution is more or less impossible since columns can be moved/hidden.
