We are using the Mendix calendar widget.
Actually we create non bookable times by creating blocker events. This works but does not look very nice and has some complexity.
It would be good to have another entity attached to the calendar that contains blocked times and days where booking is not allowed.
There are few custom widgets which has this feature including the widgets which I published to marketplace.Marketplace but this is a good idea I feel.
