Not all widget parameters are clear that they contain translatable text, leading to unforeseen consequences when configuring those parameters.
Example:
Layout configuration for the chart widget: you wouldn't say, on first impression, that it's translatable text, and when you can't see your changes, you get highly frustrated.
If the widget properties could somehow indicate that a parameter is indeed translatable, and perhaps also allow you to switch texts directly from the pop-up, that would significantly limit the time needed to figure out why something doesn't get picked up, as mentioned in the example.
