Scheduled Events can be enabled or disabled per environment in the same way as Constants can be configured.
However, when running locally, this setting is part of the app model.
It would be great if we could configure ScheduledEvents in the same way as Constants for different local configurations differently. Simply have another tab besides Constants, where they can be set.
This would simplify local testing of different functionalities, without corrupting overal settings or having to change app store modules just for setting the local scheduled event default.
Who has never run into the situation that a local backup suddently starts firing E-Mails...?
Actually, it would even be better, if these settings could be controlled via settings per environment too, like with constants.
That would reduce the need for building custom scheduling on top of the existing scheduling, just to have a test environment do some sync every 8 hours and run the same on prod every hour.
