Is there no other way to create document templates than tables? (in 2023)

Dear Mendix developers, I feel like I have been kicked back into the 90s – Do I really need to do nested tables to design a document template (in my case .docx) for output? I can’t even remember when I created websites like this (must be pre-Wordpress times ;)  Maybe I am missing something important?

Hi Philipp,

you will find loads of requests to improve OOTB document creation in the ideas-section of this forum. The most recent update we got about this is concerning pdf generation.

what is your approach ? There are some services. However, I have not used those yet..
