Anyone has solutions for this one? I work with 9.22.0 and for some bad days I have to spent haft of the development time just to kill the modeller and start it again and load the project again.
Please Mendix find a solution for this. It happens 10 times a day -(
An update:
I am in contact with support and R&D of Mendix. I have received a special build to reproduce the freeze and generate detailed logging.
Mendix R&D / support is now investigating the log and the memory dump.
I have also run into this. It does seem to be more prevalent in 9.21+.
Are you by chance running Studio Pro in a VM? If so, what is the host? In my case it’s a KVM Linux box with a VIRTIO disk. Just trying to find some commonality here.
I am getting this with Mendix 9.24.2 on Windows 10 using SVN change control. I've noticed it is more common when I'm running locally and make a change and try to save. It also seems to happen more frequently when I make multiple small changes in a row and save. The only fix is to end task Studio Pro to force it to close and reopen it. However once it occurs, it will keep happening until I commit my changes. That seems to fix it and it will work again.
Here a new reaction form support Mendix:
Hi Wouter,
Thank you for the follow up.While there is no update from our RnD team regarding this case, we identified potential workarounds that may have a positive impact on the performance:
Although these two only serve as a workaround, they can improve your experience, and they can serve as a workaround until we have done more investigation and potential fixes. When using this workaround, make sure to turn on the security check once before committing, to make sure that your project does not contain security-related errors.
Suggested this idea to the Mendix to avoid such issues.

Still a problem in 9.24.27 unfortunately..
I've had this too. Sometimes I was able to make StudioPro 9.* respond by just opening another application from the task bar. There is a thread on this in the Mendix slack channel, where similar things are noted and some workaround presented. Hard to specifically say what is happening but it looks like StudioPro has some core Windows window management problems in it in 8.* and 9.*.
