Industrial Edge Mendix Plugin – Docker build fails with microdnf error (Mendix 10.18.6)

Hi everyone, I’m currently trying to deploy my Mendix application using the Siemens Industrial Edge Mendix Plugin. My project runs on Mendix 10.18.6, and this is the first time I’m encountering this issue. I am using the exact same docker-compose.yaml that normally works for my other Edge deployments.However, when the plugin tries to build the Mendix Docker image, the build fails with the following error:   Docker Engine is running locally on my machine (Docker Desktop). The plugin correctly detects Docker, but fails when building the Mendix image. I tried both plugin versions 1.4.0 and 1.6.6 → same result. My .mda file is valid and builds fine normally. I've try differents network I've try to reinstall Docker desktop   Any help would be greatly appreciated — this deployment is part of an ongoing Industrial Edge project, and I’m a bit stuck. The Siemens Industrial Edge Mendix Plugin relies on Docker to build the Mendix runtime image, but with Mendix 10.18.x there are known compatibility issues. The plugin versions you tried (1.4.0 and 1.6.6) don’t fully support Mendix 10.18.6, so the build fails even though Docker is detected. The usual fix is to upgrade both Studio Pro and the plugin to the latest supported versions (≥ 10.24 for Mendix, and the newest Industrial Edge plugin release), and ensure your Docker Desktop is configured with Linux containers and sufficient resources (CPU/RAM).

Hi, thanks for your answer.

To clarify the situation:

  1. Everything was working perfectly until now with

    • Mendix 10.18.6

    • Industrial Edge plugin 1.4.0 Using this setup, my app had been building and deploying without any issues for months.

  2. To rule out a compatibility problem, I tested again with a blank Mendix Web App, using:

    • Mendix 10.24.11 (latest LTS)

    • Industrial Edge plugin 1.6.6 (latest version available)

    But I still get the build error (screenshot attached).errorIndustrialEdgePlugin.png
